Killer Frequency is a first-person puzzle game about a radio DJ trying to save his listeners from a serial killer. The 1980s-themed game features a piece of throwback music. The game has four episodes with various callers, locations, and challenges. Your radio station must have clues and objects to assist you in saving callers or diverting the killer. You must operate switchboards, and play advertising, and music to keep your program going. Your decisions and actions have numerous endings in the branching game. You can also affect callers’ fates and killer identities. The game has replay value and has different scenarios to explore. The game is challenging and involves logic, memory, and fast thinking to save lives.

Graphics and Sound

It looks like Killer Frequency is amazing. The style of the 1980s comes to life all over the KFAN Radio Station. From the walls and floors to the bright neon lights at the front desk, everything about the hotel is pretty. Everything seems to be right. The art style used in Killer Frequency gameis called “cell shading.” Not as much as in Borderlands, but the thick black lines around the objects give a nice sense of depth. This game looks great, especially in VR. Some might say that the images have been toned down a bit so that the Quest 2 can run smoothly at 72fps, but when you are really into the game, you don’t really notice things like that.

Killer Frequency game is that it has a great sound all the way through. With the great music that plays throughout the game, you could just play the game and listen to each song from beginning to end. But the voices in the game are great. With each character having their own voice, some of the phone calls will be a real treat.

Humor and Horror in Killer Frequency

This horror game won’t scare you. Horror will make you feel connected to your character. Puzzles are given to you by fearful characters screaming for aid. Starting an automobile to guiding someone through a labyrinth. Killer Frequency presents challenges everywhere. Too soon or too late, certain problems are time-sensitive. The game also introduces you to different radio station areas. As the keykeeper, Peggy sometimes gives you a key beneath her door to reach an inaccessible sector.

Technical Issues

The game has some technical issues and bugs that can affect the gameplay and performance. Some of the puzzles can be frustrating or unclear, and some of the voice lines can be repetitive or out of sync. The game also lacks some features such as subtitles, controller support, and accessibility options.

Final Word

If you only buy one game in the first half of the year, this has to be one of the best choices. Killer Frequency game does something I’ve never seen or heard before, and they hit every ball out of the park. I haven’t been this excited about a game coming out in a long time.
